Result: Those prices fell sharply in the indicated period, the strategy was invalid since the Sell recommendation was conditional on rising of chilli futures prices before the fall . The rise prior to fall was not significant enough. Hence neither a profit nor a loss making strategy

" Sensex at 10.45am is down over 44 points and nifty down about 19 points. While lower values of sensex-nifty are likely in next one hour, buy on further correction as market will rise temporarily by afternoon but fall again in late afternoon"

Review: See the nifty intra day chart above. Nifty rose high enough from 10.45 am level to give some profits and fell sharply to give even more profits on short positions as predicted.

In our monthly June 2007 prediction based on Tarot cards we included a weekly prediction for last week indicating a mid week correction but pullback towards end of week.

While mid week correction was quite steep ( hence shorts would have been profitable), the rise towards end of week especially on Thursday ( intra day rise of more than 100 points)was good enough to give profits on long positions built around midweek though the rise itself was temporary.

Today at 10.15 we predicted based on our tarot card model ( when sensex was still down over 100 points)

For May 08 2007 we made two predictions one before market opened(posed on night of 7-8 may) and other posted during market hours at 11.00 am ( please scroll down to read full prediction)

1. We recommended sell on strong opening or during intial phase of trading if market was trading strong.

This strategy was either invaild as market went down very fast and rose in early minutes but if sell option was exercised around 11 am this would have been profitable

Astrological analysis of IFCI - past and future

The above horoscope is of IFCI "born" on July 1 , 1948. Time has been taken as 10 am- the official time of Indian offices. The body or ascendant or lagna is occupied by fiery 4 and 9 lord mars in fire sign of Leo. This makes the subject aggressive and in case of IFCI this may interpreted as aggressive lending to various sectors. Mars is owner of 9 th house of luck and 4 th house of land/property/investments

Why investments backfired: The 11 house of gains ( gemini ) is severely afflicted particularly as it has retrograde venus and mercury , lords of tenth house of karma/work and 2nd house of income respectively. Morevover with IFCI entering its 60 years where planets position becomes like those at birth, IFCI is sure to experience rebirth and annihiliation of its present structure before/by 2008

Prediction: In May market will be volatile and unlike April no sustained rise or fall is seen. Volatility will be more marked from mid may onwards. However the sensex could see net gains for this month and one may be left wondering why the market have risen ( in absence of great specific news).

Strategy for short term traders :Traders and short term investors should take advantage of directional changes. Around Mid may after the market has seen good gains, it may time to go short( sell). Sharp fall which is possible in second half of month ( approx 15-21 may) will be followed by quick equally good rise hence an opportunity to buy again for trading purposes.

Perhaps the best thing about Month of May will be that negative view associated with this month ( particularly after what happened in last two years) will become diminished if not reversed even though volatility in second half of month is likely to be high.

Prediction: Based on Tarot cards we suggested buying on monday and tueday ( day of RBI credit policy meeting) and selling over second half of the week . we also suggested that any adverse effects of RBI policy will be overcome and may be intra day in nature( read full weekly prediction below)

Result: As can be seen from the weekly chart of nifty. Following our recommedation a decent profits would have been made unless all the selling came by end of friday.Hence a good overall prediction particularly since RBI announcements effects were expected too be adverse for the market.

We predicted/recommended "going long (i.e buy) on nifty in first hour of trade upon correction.

Result: The day's low point came in first hour of trade and market was choppy for most of day not just second half. Those who held on to long positions till afternoon would have made good profits. However choppiness also makes it easy to trigger stop losses( hence use liberal stop in choppy markets if there is strong belief in the predictions). we expected the rise in market but expected this to come somewhat earlier

We however expected the market to fall much later

Any one shorting between 11.45 and 12.30 pm would have made decent profits as sensex fell by 100 points and nifty by abut 35-40 points before recovering.
