Review :How good was our May 2007 Sensex-Nifty prediction

Against the backdrop of historically bad month of May and with key corporate results out of way, for month of May 2007 we predicted based on Tarot cards

"Prediction: In May market will be volatile and unlike April no sustained rise or fall is seen. Volatility will be more marked from mid may onwards. However the sensex could see net gains for this month and one may be left wondering why the market have risen ( in absence of great specific news).Strategy for short term traders :Traders and short term investors should take advantage of directional changes. Around Mid may after the market has seen good gains, it may time to go short( sell). Sharp fall which is possible in second half of month ( approx 15-21 may) will be followed by quick equally good rise hence an opportunity to buy again for trading purposes.Perhaps the best thing about Month of May will be that negative view associated with this month ( particularly after what happened in last two years) will become diminished if not reversed even though volatility in second half of month is likely to be high."

Review of May 2007 Prediction: May 2007 prediction turned out to be good in many respects with May registering net gains mostly by mid phase of the month and even exceeded our expectations.Secondly sharp correction and sharp pull back and implied volatility occurred shortly after May 21.

" Although volatility will increase towards end of week, main indices could see big gains during the week even though closing values may not so high.
Hence those maintaining long position are likely to make profit but are advised to book and protect profits as market will not see one way movement only during week

" Take advantage of any correction or weakness in markets in early trading session in morning as market may recover/zoom up thereafter. However late afternoon could be roller coaster ride. If you have made profit in first leg of trading by buying ( by mid noon-afternoon), a short position (sell) for smaller profits can be considered in afternoon. "

Review of Intra day prediction of sensex-nifty-may 11,2007

Today at 10.15 we predicted based on our tarot card model ( when sensex was still down over 100 points)

" Cards indicate that a huge pull back will take place before noon but this may be temporary. Correction and pull back may occur again between mid day and late afternoon but no certainity of closing of sensex( whether + or -)"

Review: Not only did sensex-nifty saw huge pullback but again corrected more than 170 points before recovering once again in late afternoon as per our prediction

Review of sensex-nifty prediction for May 08,2007

For May 08 2007 we made two predictions one before market opened(posed on night of 7-8 may) and other posted during market hours at 11.00 am ( please scroll down to read full prediction)

1. We recommended sell on strong opening or during intial phase of trading if market was trading strong.

This strategy was either invaild as market went down very fast and rose in early minutes but if sell option was exercised around 11 am this would have been profitable

2. Our second prediction at 11 am to buy after the market fall which was due in mid session proved incorrect as market did fall as predicted but did not recover.

Based on Tarot cards on friday at 10.20 am we predicted market would recover well by /around mid day and thereafter fall sharply perhaps temorarily in late afternoon ( see full prediction below)

How our prediction fared: Market did recover/rise well by mid day though we expected a better sharper rise and fall was sharp as predicted though started abit earlier than anticipated
