1. we started our prediction based trading on Kaching trading website from May 28,2009 using the initial allottment of virtual capital of $10 million.

2. This is a authentic trading/investment website which also offers investors/traders to trade with real money on the same platform

3. details of profit/loss are given in table below. Our porftfolio has increased 8.2% as seen in our Kaching Trading site.( details of trades can be verified there).

4. There is discrepancy in the present value of portfolio (8.2% increase) and as reflected in the table below( 11.2%). This may be due to number of reasons including price reporting error on website, possible neglect of some losses on shorting of stocks. we assume the lower of the two figures as being correct

Intra day chart closely matches the prediction given except that bounceback after afternoon correction did not happen.

 

On Kaching trading site, profits were booked shortly before Dow hit afternoon peak ,Short positions on IBM and Walmart were unbooked.

 

Total booked profits approx:                       $280,000

Unbooked profits on short position               $116,000

 

Total day increase in portfolio:(june 11 profit)                                                          $390,000 approx

 

Total value of portfolio is now 10,818,000 approx a gain of 8.20%

Kaching Trading -errors in price/profit reporting

we have noticed errors in price reporting and profit/loss calculation on Kaching trading platform. For example profit for Friday reported on saturday which macthe with price data on cnnmoney website turned in to loss before market opening today. This is clearly not possible.

 

Henceforth both original practice of  reporting options trade will be given along with data from Kaching trading . latter will be reported only if prcie/profit is correctly reported

The best option price was around Rs 33 in the prescribed time limit and Puts Trade in morning would have been profitable as sensex fell 125 poinst/Nifty over 40 points before 1 pm.

Nifty call premium hit a low of Rs 142 approx in the time limit before reaching ahigh of Rs 186 before 12 noon. Hence no trade.( in afternoon call premium fell to lower levels however)

IPL Finals Prediction: Deccan vs Bangalore

IPL 2 cricket Final- Prediction: Deccan Chargers vs Royal Challengers Bangalore


Working with a somewhat expanded model of prediction we came to the following conclusion about the probable outcome of the Final Match of IPL 2 to be played between Deccan and Bangalore in a few hours

Deccan seems to have an upper hand looking at the cards drawn for various aspects of the game except bowling. Latter seem less certain probably indicating medium to high target –over 170.Deccan batting may see fluctuating fortune.

However Cards for Bangalore are not uniformly bad . Banglore if they are chasing a total may see one of their promising batsman (today) throw away wicket at critical juncture.

Considering the close matched cards; for reconfirmation we turned towards a quick astrological approach further indicating Deccan’s team have an advantage today

IPl cricket predictions- Semifinal 2

Semi Final 2 : Chennai vs Bangalore

 

 

It may be another low scoring match. Bangalore may pull themselves out of crisis of sorts to win this match.Chennai may recover from early losses but possibly not enough to win.

A detailed Tarot card based examination was done to determine which team will win the semi final today.

6 put  options of dow and nasdaq ( in total 12) were purchased based on weekly prediction of correction before/by thursday spread over 3 buying  levels.   As seen in chart ( ignore Friday chart) on wednesday while these were marginally profitable , by thursday( with trading still on today but no intra day prediction) the position on 12 lots is heavily profitable in the approximate range of  $3000 to $ 5000 ( this range is given because on monday while open values were flat for a infitesmal second before indices shot up over 100 points/ 20 points)nasdaq).        As posted on May 18     US stock market prediction -May 18-22 US market may see a mixed a pattern this week with significant correction by mid week ( before thursday closing)- end of week may see a bounceback. Buy 2 dow and nasdaq puts each on flat or positive opening today and add up to 6 puts of each for every 70 point ( 15 point for nasdaq) rise in dow 30 index till tuesday.. Why the new government must go whole hog at corrupt in high places-starting with politicians

 

1. Today an article appears in  Times of India exhorting the New Government to keep out  tainted and corrupt politicians. It is difficult to understand why historically governments have not taken tough or tougher measures against misuse of power. Now winds is blowing in the right direction to take measures against such people in power or access to power. Here are the reasons why it is best to act now

 

• People's  refrain everywhere when discussing politics is about Development and Corruption. In recent times we have seen how people reward politicians genuinely trying for development ( though there are some aberrations). Anti corruption  measures (including criminals) against the mighty "Untouchables" can be a mighy  image booster with real effects that will accumulate over time. It is less likely to considered an "eyewash' or gimmick when taken up a "clean govt", more effective when taken at start of election cycle, when taken up without coercion from outside such as judiciary or opposition. In recent times perhaps only Mayawati( against some criminal MPs minister)  and BJD govt in Orissa took tough measures. ( did it dent their image because of such measures ?).
• Many of us are accustomed to accepting and thinking certain process must go through a time cycle. Whether it is population reduction, personal growth or development,. There are examples across the world- of nations, people and organizations - which convincingly strike and destroy these long accepted "time" theories.
• Corruption with its incarnations can have the following impacts; some are recognized;, others may be not so much. That mere a small percentage of development money reaches its beneficiaries is often  repeated. It also means when read together with examples of local leaders in different part of India that development is not as capital expensive/resource intensive as is often thought. Corruption also has a serious potential implication that may cut across the normal zone of influence of a leader"- security. Corruption can be a serious drawback to entrepreneurial spirit ; to creation of trust and team work; to focusing  of energy in right direction.
• Anti corruption seems to be a high return low cost investment both politically and economically. So why successive governments do not act tough to boost their image and their election prospects?
• Of course corruption has seeped in the segments of society, some of which  may be difficult to trace and therefore dislodge.
• Perhaps Media has not fully utilized its potential in this direction. This may be best done by acting together; creating new bench marks  for people in power  and creating internal competition. There cannot be a more powerful countervailing institution than media ( if it does not loose its independence to corporate shareholders and HNIs investors )
• We may soon see some entrepreneur making Anti Corruption a highly profitable and widely participative activity. It should not be hard.

for several reasons it seems that swearing in could take place on may 20,2009( any guess when party -to -be in power will choose time of swearing??-unfortunately early morning and late evening time though best may not be available)

Thus given election results date(16 may) and expected swearing in date, it may not be a too much of a divided vote or collusion could take place in surprisingly fast time
